reminds me
us versus them
is real
even when
many of them are so profoundly harmless.
for too many white people
being white
makes it possible
to pretend
to not see
the “darker brother.”
never really color blind
they see skin color
through the lens of their distorted
comfort zone—
sublime
in white-people-time.
